Gloucestershire Old Spots

Cage-Free, Hormone-Free and Antibiotic-Free Free-range Livestock

Gloucestershire Old SpotsUsed in Gloucestershire England to clean up orchards and crop residue, our Gloucestershire Old Spots love garden surplus and listen for the mule to come feed them.

Gloucestershire Old Spots are on the critical list of the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy.  They love the wide open spaces and play and dig in the dirt.  They are easy to handle.

Their young will weigh approximately 35 pounds at eight weeks of age and reach market weight at approximately seven months.  They have a great carcass, with top quality chops, roasts, ham and sausage.

The Gloucestershire Old Spots were imported to the United States during the 1900's.  The breed was almost extinct by the 1990's.  A breed society was founded and as of 2009, there are fewer than 200 breeding stock in the U.S.  The British Royal Family favors pork from their pigs for their table.

We love having Gloucestershire Old Spots on our farm.  All our friends think they are the best and love to watch them.
